TweetMr. & Mrs. David Lee have been friends and investors with The Associates. Mr. David Lee is a Senior Partner of the Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”). After the realization of the investment in November, Mrs. Lee has decided to allocate a portion of the investment gain to a responsible investment with The Associates.
The Associates moved on to scout for “investment” opportunities in Kowloon City, one of the oldest districts in Hong Kong. Kowloon City is undergoing a major transformation as the former airport site is being redeveloped into a large scaled commercial and residential area. However the older residential neighborhood is being left behind at the moment.
Introduced by Principal Tai, a former teacher of The Associates’ founder, Kowloon City Children & Youth Integrated Service Center was chosen as the 4th ChickenSoup partner. This center is funded and operated by Hong Kong Anglican Church (Sheng Kung Hui).
Mr. & Mrs. David Lee committed to a two-year financial donation to support 15 kids with comprehensive after-school care services starting March 2014. In the second year, the number of beneficiaries will increase to 80 students. Mr. Lee also tagged along BCG as a “weekend activities” sponsor in employee time and out-of-pocket expenses. This is a milestone for the ChickenSoup with a corporate sponsorship.
